Welcome to RUNDMCONE

Welcome to RunDMCone! My name is Denise Crider. Since turning 48 seven years ago, I’ve run 10,000+ miles, ran 12 marathons, 16 half marathons, and completely changed careers after returning to school full time.
I’m an avid runner (that may be obvious), fitness and travel enthusiast, wife, mother of two, and am now a Physical Therapist Assistant at Georgia’s largest hospital. I spent my entire career at PepsiCo in sales related roles, but made a change to better balance personal, professional, and my health/fitness goals.
Being a PTA, I do believe that exercise is medicine. I’ve seen and felt first hand the benefits and freedom that comes from living a healthy lifestyle, exercising on a regular basis, and spending time with others who enjoy the same! I also realize the difficulty that comes with juggling a family, career, and fitness/self-care.
And, being a cancer survivor, I fully appreciate being healthy, and am passionate about taking advantage of good health to the best of my abilities. My cancer at age 31 spurred my interest with Team in Training (The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), and I’ve completed eight endurance events with “TEAM” and have been both a coach and mentor. I currently am training for my 9th TEAM event, the Disney Dopey Challenge in January, 2020.
All that to say, my purpose is to share my passion and knowledge with all things running, fitness and active travel to enable YOU
- To pursue your fitness/health goals
- With knowledge and inspiration
- To live a healthier, happier and more balanced life!
